Celexa is used to treat depression (paranoid depression) and to relieve symptoms of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). It is also used to treat generalized anxiety disorder (GAD). Adverse effects are similar for all drugs.
Celexa is used with or without food. You may take it at bedtime or take it every night before bed.
It may take several weeks before you feel the full benefit of celexa. Celexa works quickly and you should take it on an as-needed basis. Do not take more than one pill in a 24-hour period.
